Aerial roads from Manizales to towns 37 mi. and 43 mi. away are completed and 124-mi. extension is planned; S-shaped terminal station at Manizales; monocable tramway adopted; tramways capable of transporting passengers and not less than 20 tons per hour of cargo in both directions; there are six motor-operated stations on system, in each of which 100-hp. variable speed motor drives cable drum; power is brought from hydroelectric plant on Guacaica River 310 mi. from Manizales.
