In 1905 Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway used aluminum for paneling and fittings of electric stock and employed some material in main-line coaches; the French have taken matter up seriously and are making interesting efforts to utilize more sheet aluminum and its alloys in construction of railway car; cast-aluminum coach doors.
