Results of official tests of engines furnished to U. S. Shipping Board by Worthington Pump and Machinery Corp. indicate tendency in marine Diesel engine practice toward higher piston speeds and in case of two-cycle engines, of use of independently driven scavenging air blowers; centralization of control.
