Results of tests in NACA wind tunnels show that lowest drag recorded for any landing gear tested was 13 lb at 100 mph and 0° pitch, and it might be possible to reduce this drag 6 lb by totally encasing wheels of gear in fairings; highest drag recorded was 98 lb.
