Anticipated flight of W. POST flying round-the-world Lockheed Vega; plans to: (1) establish new world altitude record for heavier-than-air craft; (2) demonstrate feasibility of traveling at high altitudes by making dawn-to-dusk round trip between New York and Los Angeles, and (3) apply findings to 12,000-mi MacRobertson London-to-Melbourne race; future design of stratosphere airplanes, equipped with superchargers and sealed cabins.
