560-ton vessels specially designed for service between Continent and London; length overall, 154.8 ft.; propelling engine is four-cylinder four-stroke Deutz compressorless Diesel, with cylinders 280 mm. bore and piston stroke of 450 mm.; runs at 300 r.p.m., and develops 200 to 240 b.hp. on fuel consumption of 0.375 lb. per b.hp.-hr.
