July 30: Possible effects upon transportation of road powers obtained by railroads in recent Bill, is discussed; no cause of serious alarm now that railways have obtained road freedom; possibilities of keen competition in some quarters and agreements in others; bus business in better position than road haulage; in long-distance field, railways would have real advantage in use of stations.
