Notes on mechanical principles involved in motor-vehicle chassis frames, more particularly in relation to holes drilled through side members, frame with holes drilled only through those parts that are in compression should be less liable to failure; if chassis frame be made deeper, its thickness could be reduced in proportion with corresponding reduction in weight; securing body to chassis.
