Electrification of logging railroad of Red River Lumber Co., Calif.; over 17 mi. of standard-gage road; trains of loaded cars are made up and delivered to electrified main line by steam and diesel-electric locomotives; Baldwin-Westinghouse electric locomotives are of steeple cab type and weigh 61 tons each; design of distribution system; utilizes an offset trolley with trolley wire at elevation of 19 ft. 3 in. above track and offset 9 ft. from center of track; modified simple catenary suspension is used.
