How much loss has been due to private automobile, and how much to motor bus, it is impossible to state with any degree of accuracy; situation in regard to both motor buses and trucks determined by Interstate Commerce Commission in various regions of United States is detailed in tables; motor-vehicle competition has cut into passenger traffic and revenue of United States railways to much greater extent than into traffic and revenue of Canadian railways.
