Feature of new station, which is among best in India, is comfortable accommodation for third-class passengers for use in Monsoon; broad-gage passenger station has one main platform 1000 ft. long by 51 ft. wide, with 200-ft. parcels dock at west end and 1000-ft. double-sided dock platform at east end, and two island platforms each 1000 by 51 ft.; main building; freight yard.
