In 1927 despite heaviest interchange ever effected in terminals at Cincinnati, Ohio, only 733 cars had to have their lading transferred; no less than 1729 exceptions on l.c.l. freight were cleared up; violations of stringent city smoke ordinance were reduced to minimum; these and other improvements were brought about by increased cooperation of railways involved through medium of Cincinnati Operating Committee.
