System has now been adopted on large number of craft, latest of which is 25-ft. towing launch, ordered by War Office, with total draft of 10 in.; cones are 33 in. in diameter and are of welded and galvanized mild-steel plate, flanges being set at angle to horizontal to suit section of tug; weight is 400 lb.
