Shops for overhaul of rapid-transit cars of London Underground Electric Railways have been completed; feature is extended use of conveyor platforms by which overhaul is done progressively as cars pass through shops; present schedule of these shops calls for overhaul of 1406 cars per year; car body is hauled about on shop trucks known as accommodation trucks by means of electrically driven endless chains, movement being continuous; lifting shops; progressive movement in body shop also.
