Design and operating details of two 525-ft all steel barges, built by St Louis Shipbuilding and Steel Co; features include 2000-hp multiple Diesel engine unit, controllable pitch propeller, and separate floating deck barge that permits simultaneous loading of all four decks; propulsion power supplied by three General Motors Diesel Quad multiple engine units, each rated at 660 bhp at 1850 rpm.
