Washington and Old Dominion Railroad Co abandoned two 50-ton electric locomotives in 1942 for three 44-ton American Locomotive General Electric Diesel electric locomotives; because of satisfactory operation, additional locomotives were placed in service; tabular data pertaining to direct locomotive operating expenses, equipment, number of operating employes, performance and cost statistics, and traffic in tons, are presented.
