Fabrication by spot welding of external wing fuel tank; at Republic Aviation, Farmingdale, LI, spot welder joins high strength aluminum alloy combinations up to 1/4 in.-1/2 in. thicknesses, with average of more than 80 spot welds per minute on wing skins.
