Performance of Diesel racing car which, after having set lap record of 139.104 mph, after 71 laps, because of mechanical failure of accessory, dropped out of Indianapolis 500-mi race; 4 1/8 × 5 in., 401 cu in., 4-cycle, 6-cyl turbocharged engine designed to deliver more than 350 hp at 4000 rpm, being tested in trucks on highways.
