Built by William Denny and Bros, Dumbarton, British railways' largest car ferry, accommodating 120 cars and 1000 passengers, is in service between Dover and Boulogne; length oa 361 ft 6 in.; breadth 59 ft, speed 20 knots; propelling machinery consists of two sets of Pametrada design geared turbines, developing total of 8000 shp at 270 rpm.
