Exhaust manifolds for General Patton tanks built by Ryan Aeronautical Co, made of stainless steel and fashioned in same manner as aircraft exhaust systems; exhausts are welded by electric arc and gas methods; each of 12 exhaust port flange faces machined and aligned so that it falls within 0.005 in. of flat surface; for T18E1 personnel carrier, Ryan builds ball and socket assemblies.
