Built by Cochrane and Sons of Selby for Gaselee and Son, tugboat Rana has length of 85 ft 9 in., breadth 21 ft 6 in., depth 10 ft 9 in., and is powered by British Polar two stroke cycle, 5-cyl Diesel developing 700 bhp at 220 rpm; vessel was constructed for towing service in River Thames.
