"Clover" is floating air strip developed from Indian mat bridge by British Naval Engineers; construction consists of light steel tubes 10 in. in diam, closed by welding of plate at both ends; tubes are held in place by recessed timber beams above and below them; report on experimental development, launching and "flying-on" trials.
