Kansas City Terminal has improved service to 11 of 12 tenant railroads by use of washer, supplied by Whiting Corp; it consists of two stations placed about 150 ft apart; cars are moved through washer at speed of 1 mph; at first station they receive application of cleaning chemical and are scrubbed by brushes; between two stations, two touch-up men use fountain brushes to wash parts not touched by brushes; at second station cars are rinsed, scrubbed and rinsed again.
