Nine types of cars, 207 units in all, are of basic design developed as result of 5 yr of research; 103 coaches built at Worcester, Mass, plant of Pullman-Standard Car Mfg Co delivered; length oa 85 ft 9 in.; width extreme 10 ft 1 in.; coaches will negotiate 250-ft radius curve; weight 125,000 lb; cars equipped with outside-swing-hanger type truck; car body weight supported directly on coil springs suspended from outside of truck frame.
