Underwater maintenance and repair of floating equipment operated by Erie Railroad in New York harbor carried out on welded steel floating dry dock, designed for normal lifting capacity of 400 tons and max load of 700 tons; length oa 130 ft; width extreme 60 ft; wing walls are 19 ft high above deck and 110 ft long with 48 ft inside clearance; bottom of vessel is 8 ft below deck; dock is floated by pumping out flooding tanks by vertical centrifugal pumps rated at 1100 gpm.
