To improve helicopter performance, National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics has developed series of laminar flow airfoil sections; having little or no pitching moment, and lift drag ratios almost twice as great as those of NACA 230 series; such advantages as increased payload, improved hovering, safer operation, and diminished stress on rotor hub bearings are realized.
