Illustrated data on waterway designed to serve as direct barge canal between Gulf Intra-Coastal Canals and Mississippi River in south and New York State Canal System in North, with access to Great Lakes and Eastern Seaboard; major portion of 83,000,000 tons of bituminous coal and petroleum products, large tonnage of iron and steel, etc, will be transported through this canal thus relieving rail traffic congestion.
