Motorships built for British Railways, Southern Region, for Portsmouth-Ryde service; dimensions are: length bp 195 ft, breadth molded 46 ft, and depth molded to promenade deck 18 ft; ships are propelled by twin screws directly coupled through thrust and intermediate shafting to Sulzer type 8MG32, 6-cyl, 2-stroke, trunk piston, airless injection Diesel engines, developing total of 1900 bhp at 375 rpm.
