Deering, Chicago, is being built for Hathaway Oil Co, New Bedford, Mass; hull design is of double chine type with transverse framing; length oa 54 ft; beam 15 ft; powered by 6-cyl Murphy Diesel engine developing 165 hp connected to shaft through reduction gear.
