Method for determining stress concentrations which occur in non-isotropic materials under load is considered more accurate than D. C. DRUCKER's and also provides means of determining directions of principal stresses; determination of these directions, however, is not sufficiently accurate, and use of stress coat was found desirable for greater accuracy.
