Extensive program of drainage improvements carried out at several track pan installations along multiple track high speed main line of New York Central System between Buffalo, NY, and Chicago; article explains how draining systems embodying longitudinal, intertrack subsurface drains, made of vitrified clay, cradle invert pipe, placed in combination with intertrack gutters paved with precast concrete blocks, were installed.
