One of most recent and promising solutions of premature stall is use of platform changes involving inverse wing taper, i.e., planform in which tip chord is larger than root chord; reasons for improvement in stall characteristics attending this method; new configuration may be answer to poor stability of swept wing jet fighters and bombers at low speeds.
