Main river crossing is steel truss 1500 ft long on six river piers; structure is of cantilever type founded on caissons 50 ft 6 in. by 19 ft; abutment on east bank is founded on 62 ft 6 in. by 25 ft caisson; bridge carries meter gage railroad, 18 ft roadway and 10 ft sidewalk.
