Particulars of train washer installed jointly by Missouri Pacific and Pennsylvania at St Louis, Mo, which removes accumulated grime and dust from each car in 2 min; cars move at speed of 90 fpm through washer, where they are cleaned by two sets of brushes which revolve at 240 rpm, and by jets of detergent and clear rinse water; plant washes more than 200 cars per day.
