Report on damping measurements conducted using single cylinder 2-stroke experimental engine having crankshaft diam of 5.91 in. and main bearings 4.72 in. long; tests showed that hysteresis damping was constant over stress range 0 to ±20,000 psi; oil damping in main bearings; damping measured in marine engines.
