Vessels for service from Ichang up stream a distance of 1500 mi; besides engaging in passenger and freight trade, ships will serve as feeders for larger lower Yangtze vessels; six ships built for Ming Sung Industrial Co, Shanghai, four by St Lawrence Metal and Marine Works, Quebec, and two by George T.Davis and Sons, Lauzon; length oa 168 ft 8 in.: beam 33 ft; draft, max 8 ft 6 in.; propelled by General Motors twin, 12-cyl, 2-cycle, 1200-bhp Diesel engines.
