Common interests of rail and oil industries as "transportation industries"; efficiency and economy of railroads as consumers of oil products; suggestion made that, although rails will become increasingly Dieselized, amount of petroleum fuels consumed will be comparatively less than by oil burning steam locomotives; sound private investment in railroads should be continued in public interest.
