Fleet would have virtually limitless fields of operation because it would be water based, and composed of bombers, interceptors, transports, tankers and cargo carriers, with range, speed and fighting power as required for each type; requirements of supersonic performance, intercontinental range and heavy bomb payload cannot be met by any single airplane unless it is water based; methods employed at Convair's Hydrodynamic Research Laboratory.
