Vibration patterns obtained show that same modes of vibration occur in air and in water, and that corresponding nodal patterns are similar, although transverse nodal lines across blades appear to be slightly nearer to shaft axis for tests in air than for those in water; results of further tests in air on flat plate model resembling marine propeller, carried out by B.GRINSTEAD of De Havilland Engine Co are included.
