St Louis Zephyr built for Streett Towing Co by St Louis Shipbuilding and Steel Co, is first towboat on rivers to use "vapor-phase" cooling system for both main and auxiliary engines; hull is 118 ft by 45 ft by 10 ft 6 in. with loaded draft of 8 ft; powered by two Model 80-MX-8, 8-cyl National Supply Co Superior Diesel engines, each developing 1440 hp at 360 rpm.
