Vessel constructed in Staten Island, New York, yard of United Shipyards; length oa 134 ft; beam 32 ft; depth 13 ft 3 in.; propelled by two 16-cyl, 8 1/2-in. by 10 1/2 in. Vee-type, 2-cycle General Motors Diesel engines, developing 1500 hp at 750 rpm; four fire pumps are of 2-stage centrifugal type, each driven by 400-hp motor at 1500 rpm, and having capacity of 5000 gal per min against 150 lb pressure.
