Conversion of two wood constructed boats, "David K. Phillips" and "Alden S. Swan," by Humphreys Railway, Weems. Va; length 125 ft; draft 8 ft; propelled by Cooper-Bessemer GN Diesel engines, with cylinders 10 1/2 by 13 1/2 in., developing 350 rpm, and driving Ferguson, 3-blade propellers; one for Phillips is 6-cyl, 260-hp unit, while that for Swan is 8-cyl, 350-hp model.
