Armstrong Whitworth Aircraft Ltd, Coventry, capable of testing models 16 in. long in Mach number range 0.3 to 3.0; it will be used for investigating rockets, advanced jet engines, guided missiles and future high speed aircraft; Schlieren camera used for photographing air flow patterns.
