Ship delivered by Doxford and Sunderland Group was built at Group's Sir James Laing yard for Sheaf Steam Shipping Co; changes made in basic design are discussed; Doxford 58J4 engine is installed; among features -- all holds are forward of accommodation, giving continuous tween decks through ship; hatches on weather and tween decks measure 40×45 ft with beam of 71 ft; slab hatches are used in tween decks instead of grain feeders; dw is 14,830 tons on 1966 loadline convention for loaded draft of 28 ft 2 in.
