Manual method was developed for scheduling vehicle fleet of contract transport undertaking; main requirements were achieved by introducing initial allocation of calls to vehicles prior to sequential routing of calls; allocation was based on model relating work density to vehicle loading and on fact-finding research on main parameters of calling time, traveling speed and distance; this relationship was embodied in visual scheduling aid for use by routine planners.
