Study of 1 to 120-scale, fixed-bed model, reproducing 5.2 mi of Arkansas River was conducted; tests were concerned with study of flow patterns, measurement of velocities in lock approaches, and behavior of model tow on entering and leaving locks and navigating through Rob Roy Bridge under flows ranging from 100,000 to 350,000 cfs; results of investigation are presented.
