Protection of Polaris and Poseidon missiles during loading operations from tender can be accomplished either by adding shock absorbing system to loading fixture, or by eliminating relative motion between load and submarine deck (so-called Yo-Yo system); results of analysis of operation of both systems are presented in diagrams and discussed.
