Problem of safe missile-launching from ship and procedures to be carried out for determining safe missile-launching zone which begin when ship is in preliminary design; parameters to consider, such as effects of ship motion (roll, pitch, and yaw), gravity, missile aerodynamic and thrust malalignments, launcher rotation, wind, etc; data are inserted into equations formulated for solution in digital computer; from data, preliminary set of pointing and firing cutout curves and structural grid chart are prepared; final analysis of interface between rocket-powered weapons and moving launch platform.
