Dornier-System GmbH proposed development of radio-controlled recoverable and reusable sounding rocket, to reduce expense of experiments; requirements of recovery system for ballistic missiles and considerations which led to system using paraglider, having relatively high position of center of gravity; equipment consists of frame with two profiled aluminum rails, accommodating, flush with outer surface, paraglider beams with rolled-up fabric and nose and stern bulkheads; fitted to frame is fuselage shell, cylindrical stern body and nose cone; paraglider is deployed by means of pneumatic system in beam beds; flight tests and flight stability criteria and future projects.
