Paper outlines original prediction process which used empirical vibro-acoustic transfer function, verification of this transfer function by full scale proto-type sonic test, and, finally provides progress report on measured flight data; evolution of vibration design and test philosophy for HiBEX project (High Boost Experiment) is discussed, and vibration levels in use for equipment qualifications are compared to those actually measured in flight.
